Spring Break

For spring break the kids and I went to California to visit, and so I could read the book Eclipse without me obsessing over my house and mom duties. We had a great time. Here are the pics to prove it.

Aunt Adri with Rylie.

Skyler and Rylie with Aunt Bethany (some may notice that is my Bethie who went on her mission...she had to come home for foot surgery and will go back to Temple Square in a month...I am ashamed to admit that I was SOOO happy to have her back!)

My 2 best friends and sisters, Adriana and Bethany.

Holly and Rylie

Proof that I will wear my headband...I love it!!

Gratuitious pic for grandma...my Rylie.

"The Talk"

Friday night I finally had "the talk" with Madelyn. I was feeling brave and told her about the birds and the bees. It did not go well. She is 9 1/2 and very much a little girl, which I love. A couple months ago she was devastated because she thought she knew what sex was. Come to find out she thought it was just lying near someone naked. So needless to say the truth blew her pure little mind. She sobbed and declared, "I barely found out I need braces in 6 months, I can't handle all of this!" Of course then I feel like a bad mom who maybe told her too soon. I just didn't want her to get some creepy school version. Plus all her friends know. I guess time will make her freak out lessen. And it will be a great story to tell her future husband one day...

Silly Rylie and Felt Flowers

Rylie thought it would be fun to get in one of the toy bins and make her silly face. Too cute!!

Girls at church made these adorable felt flowers that I knew would be the perfect addition to Sister Cummings' (my beloved sister) missionary attire.

Madelyn modeling the flower, which can be worn as a clip or as a headband.

How cute is that?

We loved these so much that I bought enough felt to make them in every color for me and my 2 girls to share. Very vintage looking!
